Qantas Large Engine Workshop

Scope of Works
Qantas Large Engine Workshop, Melbourne Airport, is a high-performance engineering and testing facility supporting heavy engineering operations for one of Australia's largest airlines. Delivered within a live, operational airside environment, the project required rigorous safety planning and close coordination with airport authorities and stakeholders throughout.
Electrical scope:
- Electrical and communications design and installation supporting heavy engineering and testing operations
- Main Switchboard (MSB) extensions and submain reticulation, sized to accommodate the facility's substantial power demands
- Specialist power systems supporting engine testing and workshop equipment
- Lighting across internal and external environments, designed to support safe and efficient engineering operations
- Crane and workshop infrastructure integration
- Integration of testing and paint facility services, each with their own specific power and environmental requirements
Delivered under strict airside controls, with all works carefully sequenced to align with live airport operations and minimise disruption to Qantas's ongoing engineering activities.
